Quiet Prism EP Out Now!!!

The Quiet Prism EP is now available for free download above. It is also for sale on all the major digital music services like ITunes. We chose to offer it both for free and for sale since it is a precursor to our upcoming album that will be released later this summer. Quiet Prism is a hint of what's to come on the new full length with the first track "Autumn You", which will be on the album, and some of the directions we have gone while working on new material. It includes late night songs, and early morning after late night songs. They are Brooklyn songs and Budapest songs, South Carolina songs and nowhere songs. Share it with your friends who might like it. We are very excited to finally share it with you, thanks!

Quiet Prism EP!!!
After such positive feedback from the pre-release of these new songs we have decided to add one more track to the collection and make it into an EP. This is how we originally envisioned it but for various reasons didn't think it was logistically possible. It is possible! The Quiet Prism EP will be released digitally right around June 1st and will now contain 5 tracks, including a track not previously released called "Twilight, Dusk, and Night". It is perhaps the most exactly captured mood of any of the new songs. If it seems like every day the EP and album are growing... it's because they are!

We have posted "Magic Key" exclusivley on our facebook.com/newideasociety and myspace.com/newideasociety pages. We really love this song but felt it fit better on the EP than the full length record.

New Songs!

Though these first three tracks won't be on our new album we really love them and they will lead to the first single from the album called "Autumn You" to be released June 1st. This is called Autumn You+3.

Updates for December 09
After an arduous recovery from our van accident on tour in Germany we have just completed the master of our new album to be released in 2010. Produced by Andy LeMaster with some additional tracking by Andrew Schneider during two sessions at Translator Audio in Brooklyn and Chase Park Transduction in Athens we tracked 18 songs that have been narrowed down to 12 for the final release. A short tour of Europe is being planned for late January into mid-February where we will dive into the new songs live (be nice Germany we have bled for you). Thanks to everyone who has been coming out to our recent East Coast U.S. shows as we prepared for the album. More U.S. dates to come soon.

Record and show updates
Hello, Just a couple quick updates since we have not written anything in awhile. -Firstly, we have nearly completed tracking of a new album. It was recorded at Translator Audio by our friend Andy LeMaster. Recording with Andy was a great experience. It doesn't get any better than him! This album will be a great deal different than "The World Is Bright And Lonely". We took a totally different avenue for this one, but more about that in the coming months. We recently also recorded a few songs with Andrew Schneider at Translator and some of those songs will end up on the record as well.
